Ingredients
  

  • 1 tbsp chocolate (some people prefer to use room-temperature or heated up Nutalla)
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • Chocolate powder/Cocoa powder

Equipment

  • Saucepan.
  • Glass
  • spoon
  • Milk frother
  • Espresso machine If you can't afford an espresso machine, you can follow an alternative method to make a shot of espresso with instant coffee. See the link above!

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Add some hot chocolate to a glass.
    NOTE: to prepare the hot chocolate, mix sugar, milk, and cocoa powder in a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat while whisking. For more flavor, whisk in the vanilla.
    (Another variation is lining the glass with some Nutella. You may use room-temperature Nutella although some people prefer to actually heat up the Nutella and then line the glass with that)
  2. Step 2: Make an espresso directly into the same glass
    NOTE: If you don't have an espresso machine at home, you may make an espresso using instant coffee. Here are the instructions

  3. Step 3: Sprinkle an even layer of cocoa powder on the layer of espresso (optional).

  4. Step 4: Add steamed foamed milk on top of the espresso.
