  • 6 ounces of fresh milk (dairy or non-dairy)

  • Milk frother or a jar with a lid for shaking

Method
 

  1. Boil water and prepare a shot of instant coffee following the package instructions.
  2. Pour the coffee into your espresso cup or small mug.
  3. Heat the milk until it's hot but not boiling, using a microwave or kettle.
  4. If you have a milk frother, steam the milk until creamy and velvety.

  6. Hold the jar with the microfoam about an inch above the coffee in your cup.
  7. Pour the milk in steady stream, aiming for the center to create a beautiful pattern on the surface.
  8. Optional: Sprinkle a dash of cocoa powder or cinnamon through a fine-mesh sieve over the milk foam for added flavor.
